Creation Myth
There is a corruption, buried deep within all people, animals, plants, and things. It fills the mind with selfishness, hatred, cruelty, envy, and evil. It is only combated by following the Fervor and emulating them - to venerate a Fervor's concepts and live a life as they would have wanted, and spreading this belief to even the simple animals and plants, allowing them to battle their own corruption. This suppresses the corruption, weakening its hold on the individual and the world in tandem.
However, not all individuals worship the Fervor - whether because they are distracted by other religions and their falsehoods, or do not truly hold themselves accountable to act in the Fervor's interests. In these people, the corruption properly takes hold, and begins to consume them - taking root in their souls and accumulating power.
This corruption is called Vallha; it is understood to be both a natural force of destruction in the world and a person - the corruptor, defiler, world-eater. Vallha gains power from the aforementioned, who spread their corruption to the land around them, granting him power and a foothold in this world. When a threshold of corruption accumulation is crossed - specifics unknown - Vallha is able to tear a hole in reality from the void and enter the world, empowered enough to kill the Fervor themselves.
He will murder them one by one and devour their creations as he does so, erasing everything and everyone from existence, until there is nothing left to destroy, and the world and void become one. In this state, Vallha is weak - being an avatar of destruction, when there is nothing left to destroy, his grip on power weakens. The Fervor deities, then, as avatars of creation, are reborn into this void and smite Vallha down in unison, shredding his power.
They will then craft a new cycle, praying this time that perhaps, the perfect world would be born - and all mortals would live in worship of them, negating Vallha's corrupting influence and ending the cycles once and for all.
